Good compensation, considerable benefits and a supportive atmosphere are just a few of the incentives companies use to attract and retain talent. Since its inception, , with ºüÀêÊÓƵ’ largest selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, has gone well beyond those expectations to build a work environment that employees want to remain part of long term. Fusz is committed to investing in what they believe is their greatest asset; their dedicated staff.
Not only does Lou Fusz sell new and pre-owned vehicles, but they provide customers with full-service auto care needs such as service repairs, maintenance and body work. Each dealership also has a manufacturer parts (and accessories) department. In addition to new and pre-owned vehicles, Fusz added multiple motorcycle, ATV and UTV lines to their dealership group with Lou Fusz Motorsports and Lou Fusz Honda Powerhouse in Fairview Heights, IL.
Customers can enjoy this one-stop shop for accessorizing their vehicles. The services are provided by Fusz-owned VIP Distributing and GM Accessories with VIP/ADI. Fusz has also increased its footprint in the Midwest with additional dealerships purchased in Illinois and Indiana in the last few years.
Fusz recognizes employees by celebrating their milestone work anniversaries. In 2025, 148 employees will be honored. This year, Fusz will celebrate 30 of their long tenured employees who will celebrate over 20 years of service; two employees will be recognized for their 40th work anniversary! After the presentation, a lunch social is hosted by Fusz honoring the celebrants.
Many employees say they appreciate the family environment at Fusz. In fact, Fusz is proud of the fact that there are dozens of second and third generation families who comprise hundreds of years of service.
Fusz also continues to support employee philanthropy efforts throughout the year. Employee leaders begin raising money in January for their favorite charities. It can be something as simple as selling snacks, 50/50 raffles or raffle tickets (donated by Fusz) for sporting events, where the profit is designated for a specific charity. Junior Achievement of Greater ºüÀêÊÓƵ has been a long-time benefactor, raising nearly $12,000 in 2024.
The Marine Corp League has also awarded Fusz with a plaque for their continued support of the annual Toys for Tots program. In mid-November, boxes are displayed at all Fusz locations and the fundraising efforts ramp up. It is common to see a truck displayed at the dealership with the truck bed heaping full of toys, extending onto the floor surrounding the vehicle. In 2024, collection day consisted of a 24 foot box truck filled from top to bottom, front to back in addition to 60 bikes. Fusz has been the leading contributor to the facilities Toys for Tots program since it began over 15 years ago — led by one employee who wanted to make a difference. That employee, Ed Biermann, retired in 2021, but still dedicates his time to the Marine Corp League, as well as the Toys for Tots program. He continues to see the Fusz team exceed their goal every year when he picks up the toys from their ºüÀêÊÓƵ Metro locations on collection day.
It’s no wonder Lou Fusz Automotive Network has been recognized multiple times as a Top Workplace in the region by the ºüÀêÊÓƵ.
