On Tuesday, MLB Pipeline released a fresh set of top 100 rankings. Four Cardinals minor leaguers made the cut: JJ Wetherholt (No. 19), Quinn Mathews (No. 60), Leonardo Bernal (No. 89) and Rainiel Rodriguez (No. 99).Â
In other Cardinals minor league moves, a series of transactions were made Tuesday. That included right-hander Jack Ralston getting a call-up to Class AAA Memphis from Class AA Springfield. Ralston had a 1.72 ERA in 31 1/3 innings for Springfield this season. In his first Class AAA appearance Tuesday, Ralston allowed two runs and two walks in one inning of work.Â
A pair of Redbirds also were sent down from Memphis to Springfield in right-handers Zane Mills and Leonardo Taveras. In his lone appearance with Memphis since being brought up on June 26, Mills pitched two shutout innings against Durham on Saturday. Taveras allowed eight earned runs in 13 2/3 innings with Memphis in June.Â

Updates on top 10 prospects
JJ Wetherholt, SS, Class AA Springfield:Â Wetherholt has found somewhat of a groove again offensively. He carried a four-game hit streak into Thursday, including a two-run home run on Saturday. Three days later, he hit his second walk-off hit of the season, an RBI single that gave Springfield a 4-3 win over NW Arkansas.Â
Wetherholt finished the month of June slashing .356/.500/.521 with an OPS of 1.021.Â
Quinn Mathews, LHP, Class AAA Memphis:Â After a rough start June 24, Mathews bounced back five days later, pitching a shutout over 4 2/3 innings against Durham. While he walked three batters, he struck out four and allowed just four hits. His 81 pitches were the most he's thrown in a game this season.Â
Leonardo Bernal, C, Class AA Springfield:Â Bernal has gotten back on-track at the plate. He went 3 of 4 with three singles on Friday. On Sunday, he recorded an RBI on a sacrifice bunt.Â
Rainiel Rodriguez, C, Low-A Palm Beach:Â Rodriguez has recorded a hit in four of his last five games entering Thursday. On Monday, his on-base streak reached seven games, and he's drawn nine walks over his last seven games.Â
Tink Hence, RHP, Class AA Springfield: In his first start since he helped Springfield to a combined no-hitter on June 20, Hence wasn't quite as productive. While he tallied five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings pitched, he also gave up five earned runs — four of which came on a grand slam in the third inning — and five walks as well. Luckily for Hence, Springfield's offense picked him up, as the Cardinals won 10-7.Â
Jimmy Crooks, C, Class AAA Memphis:Â Crooks entered Thursday with a seven-game hit streak, which is tied for his longest of the season.Â
Yairo Padilla, SS, FCL Cardinals:Â Like Crooks, Padilla has swung a hot bat recently, entering Thursday riding an eight-game hit streak.Â
Chase Davis, OF, Class AA Springfield:Â After an extended dry spell at the plate, Davis has helped power Springfield as of late. On Saturday, he went 2 of 3 with a two-run home run in the first inning, which came just moments after Wetherholt's blast. On Tuesday, Davis hit another two-run home run; he finished the game 2 of 4.Â
Michael McGreevy, RHP, Class AAA Memphis:Â In McGreevy's first start since being optioned back to Memphis, the right-hander shut down Nashville on Tuesday, pitching six shutout innings. He allowed just two hits while registering five strikeouts.Â
Tekoah Roby, RHP, Class AAA Memphis:Â Facing Durham on Saturday, Roby allowed just one earned run in five innings pitched. He also logged four strikeouts.Â
