The Cardinals can't be accused of easing rookie Michael McGreevy in and keeping him away from top competition.
McGreevy leads the Cardinals Tuesday as they host the division-leading Chicago Cubs at 6:45 p.m. in the second of a four-game series at Busch Stadium.
Ƶ hit four homers in Monday's opener, tying a season-high, en route to an 8-2 win.
For the right-hander McGreevy (1-1, 2.70 ERA), the Cubs are the third top-five offense that he'll face in his four big-league games this season.
Last time out, McGreevy faced the moribund White Sox, but his other two appearances came against the Mets and the Dodgers.
The Cubs, Mets and Dodgers all rank in the top five of baseball by on-base plus slugging percentage.
